ok so here is the deal I put a new jardine muffler on my 99 savage and it sounds great... I believe it sounds too good because I think I have burned my clutch out giving it too much gas for the takeoffs. I was riding and everything was fine then I started to hear a strange noise. I quickly pulled over to find I now have very little power being transferred to the rear wheel. if you give it a lot of throttle it will move very slow. I only did this to get it home about 1/2 a mile. when you lift the back of the bike off the ground and put it in gear the back wheel rolls freely. This sounds like clutch to me. I hope so and not the transmission. I now I am completely stupid if it was the too strong of take offs that caused my problem, but if anyone has any advice on checking the problem or replacing the clutch it would be appreciated. Also if anyone thinks it might be another problem, please let me know. PS for anyone who is getting a louder muffler, DO NOT burn up the clutch like an idiot.
Thank You,
